1934 Pittsburgh Crawfords Negro League cap Modnight black -Red/Orange "C". Vintage with paperwork. The Pittsburgh Crawfords are are very popular team from when baseball was segregated..Josh Gibson and Satchel both played with the team and Gibson was a mammoth of a homerun clubbed! Who wore this cap? The name is lost in time but it could be one of them.. of only the story could be told in today's time? These hats are super rare.. and this one has a key identifier the logo on the front and the design of the cap itself. The redish orange C was used I some games in 1934 from our research. The Crawfords wore black caps with orang/red C on the center that season. Gibson never had his chance to play in the majors but Satchel helped break the mold and became a rookie for Cleveland in 1948. Gibson died at a early age but his memory lives on with collectors like us.. this hat would memorialized his memory and is worth every cent. Firm on price.
