This Seymchan Pallasite Meteorite is a rare type of stony-iron meteorite that consists of olivine crystals, a mineral often known as peridot, embedded within a metallic matrix of nickel-iron. They are believed to originate from the core-mantle boundary of large, differentiated asteroids that were shattered by impacts.
