RARE antique B.P.O.E. (Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks) "Hello Bill" stamp case locket.
The phrase "Hello Bill" originated within the Elks organization, referring to William Goddard, a long-time treasurer of the Minneapolis Lodge.
It became a cheerful salutation used among members across the country.
The item is a locket-style case, made of sterling silver and designed to hold postage stamps. It is in wonderful condition. It as an engraved monogram on the front. Its in exceptional condition. The clasp is great and open & closes as it should Please see photos.
