This sale is for a Westmoreland Milk Glass Wedding Bowl, also known as a wedding cake box or a candy dish. The dish was produced by the Westmoreland Glass Company, with many pieces dating back to the 1950s. The name wedding bowl or wedding box comes from the tradition of giving the dish to a newly married couple with a piece of wedding cake inside. The piece is characterized by its white milk glass, scalloped edge on the bowl and lid, and a square pedestal base. Measures 10 inches high and without lids 6 7/8 inches high, 5 inches in diameter. Fabulous vintage condition. Non smoking pet free home.
