n°44 (Number 44) Bespoke Levi's 501 Remake Denim Leather Patch

Remake denim based on Levi's 501 (501-0106 / Made in U.S.A.) purchased at the legendary select shop "n°44 (Number Forty-Four)" that once existed in Daikanyama.

In the late 1990s to the 2000s, the shop was known for its high-sensitivity selection that uniquely reconstructed French military and workwear styles. Its careful remakes and one-of-a-kind items with a craftsman-like texture were highly regarded by fashion industry professionals both domestically and internationally. Although it closed its doors with regret in the early 2020s and no longer exists as a physical store, its works are being re-evaluated as "archives."

This denim is a piece that encapsulates the essence of n°44. Based on USA-made Levi's 501, it features a leather patch remake on the front, repair marks, and fading processing, making it a one-of-a-kind item. The natural aging and the layering of repairs give it the "artwork-like craft feel" that was characteristic of n°44 at the time.

Overall, there are damages, stains, and repair marks (crotch area repaired). However, the completed balance as a remake denim gives it an appealing, deep expression. This is a unique vintage piece that fuses the toughness of Levi's with the sensibility of n°44.
