This Beautiful Russian Lacquered box is a replica painting for the famous painting by Viktor Vasnetsov. Tsarevna Nesmeyana or “The Princess Who Never Smiled” from Russian Folklore. The artwork is detailed with added metallic paint to accentuate gold accents. Signed Pegockuho lower left. “Tsarevna Nesmeyana” written in the middle. Artist name in lower right.
Rectangular box with rounded shorter sides. Lid is domed to make a taller height in center. Pedestal base look with arched sides, not flat. Does have some small hairline cracking in the lacquer on the sides. Shown in last pics.
