Still works when you get it going with heat or friction. Light Fading of words Monte Carlo. I collected pens years ago and my sisiter lived in France for 30 years, and she would bring me home pens. She was luck to stay at this hotel and get a pen. I never used it, just kept in my pen collection. It is very heavy, not like plastic but not metal either. Some sort of heavy resin. Hard to find.
